
Garlic Lime Shrimp Tacos with Cilantro
This creamy garlic lime taco sauce takes sautéed shrimp to the next level!
Ingredients
Shrimp Taco Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined, tails removed
- Juice of 3 limes
- 8 tortillas corn tortillas, flour tortillas, or taco shells
Garlic Lime Taco Sauce Ingredients
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce
- A pinch of salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
Cabbage Slaw Ingredients
- ½ cup green cabbage
- ½ cup red cabbage
- ¼ cup chopped cilantro
- ¼ red onion diced
- ½ avocado peeled, seeded, and sliced very thin
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Juice of one lime
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
Shrimp Seasoning Ingredients
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In a skillet, drizzle olive oil and heat over medium heat, and place the shrimp into a large bowl
- Combine minced garlic cloves, cumin, salt, chopped cilantro, and olive oil
- Pour the seasoning over the shrimp and stir to coat the shrimp
- Place the shrimp in the heated skillet and sauté on each side for 4 to 5 minutes
- Remove to plate and set to the side
- In a large bowl combine the red and green cabbage, cilantro, red onion, and avocado
- In a small bowl combine the mayonnaise, olive oil, and the lime juice
- Pour the mix over the cabbage mix and stir to combine
- Assemble the tacos by placing a tortilla on the plate, spread a little of the garlic lime shrimp taco sauce over the center
- Place a few shrimp on top of the sauce, then spoon ¼ to ½ cup of slaw mix over the shrimp
