  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Shrimp Taco Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined, tails removed
  • 2 ½ cups green cabbage shredded
  • 8 small tortillas Corn tortillas, flour tortillas, or taco shells

Toppings

  • 1 avocado peeled and sliced
  • Cotija cheese crumbled
  • Lime Wedges

Garlic Cilantro Lime Sauce Ingredients

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup water
  • Juice from 2 limes
  • ½ cup chopped green onions
  • ½ cup cilantro leaves
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients for the garlic cilantro lime sauce into a blender, then pulse on short bursts until the ingredients are combined and blended well
  • Place the shredded cabbage into a bowl and spoon in about ¼ cup of the sauce. Stir well and squeeze a little lime juice over the top
  • Rinse and pat the shrimp dry, then place the shrimp in a clean bowl
  • In a small bowl combine the ingredients for the shrimp spice
  • Toss the spice over the shrimp in the other bowl and stir to cover it completely
  • Drizzle oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and toss the shrimp in and sauté for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Be sure the shrimp are cooked through (You can tell they’re fully cooked when they reach an internal temperature of 120°F or they turn to a light pink color)

  • Sprinkle with crumbles of cheese and add in the cooked shrimp
  • Enjoy!
